Take a devastating coastal fire and follow up with torrential rains and what do you get? A BIG problem. This picture shows Rt 1 along the CA coast. A massive collapse of roadway due to the heavy rain and insufficient drainage.
It looks to me that a bridge would be the most solid approach to fixing the road but a couple of days ago they announced they'll be rebuilding the road - it'll be quicker and cheaper. Quick and cheap rarely add up to quality but what do I know?
What I DO know, however, is color and image post-processing. And that's the purpose of this post. Take a look at the shadows to the left of the rocks in the water near the cliff's bottom. Such a beautiful blue. But ... not such a realistic color for a shadow, eh?
What do we conclude? A bunch of photo-color manipulation to make the image pop, that's what. It may not be accurate but it looks good!
2/3s of the line ending at our fav French bakery. Meaning ... over half an hour just to get to the counter.
Did I leave? Of course not! Simply opened my portable studio and prepped half a dozen cartoons for upload. And then continued work on the most current one. And ... made decisions. Can you tell what those decisions were ...?
