Sigh. Just watched Spider-man: Into the Spider-verse. For the third time. Love it and I listen to the soundtrack constantly. It's great to row to.
But ... I cannot lie. It did make me a tiny bit sad in one small scene. BTW, spoilers ahead. Anyway, our hero wants to leave his private academy and go back to his old school. And he's called before the teacher because he got a 0 out of 100 on his quiz. The teacher knows that Miles actually knows the material. She asks him what someone would get, just from randomly guessing, as a score. He answers - 50% (and then gives himself a cute 'doh!' moment).
He'd be correct if the quiz had been true/false. But. But but but. It wasn't. It was multiple choice. With 4 possible answers for each question, if I recall correctly. And so his answer of 50% is wrong, wrong, wrong. And wrong again. 50% would be WAY better than random guessing. And Miles, a super smart dude, would have known that.
They were SO close to nailing the moment and then they had to go and blow it. Like I said at the start. Sigh. Just sigh. When it comes to math plot points, you can count on film-makers to multiply my woes. Just a small addition to my litany of movie boo boos.
Wow. Wow, wow, wow. Just received a postcard for a local dentist. Here it is. Look at it and tell me what it was that caught my attention. Keep in mind that my scan was a very good scan - what you see is what I saw on the postcard.
