Wherestuffis. That’s the name of the file. And as it’s called, so does it do. I don’t know if you’re better at it than me (yay for you if you are!) but I’m terrible at remembering where I’ve put stuff. I’ll buy a new battery charger and then say to myself “I’ll put it here in this drawer” and I’ll stare at the drawer to burn it into my memory. And a month later, when I need it, I’ll have no idea where it is.
Well, I’ve finally found a solution that works for me and can work for you. Start by accepting that you’ll forget unless you take action and create your own “wherestuffis” file on your computer. Then write down exactly what and where for everything that’s not in day to day use. You can even throw in the date if that helps. Hit save and then put the item in its designated spot.
This works SO WELL. I can’t express the degree of awesome-sauce it is to wonder where my electronic fly swatter is, open up my wherestuffis file and read “top shelf, laundry room closet”.
Of course, if you don’t write it down you can’t win and so that has to become a habit. Give it a try, why don’t you? You’ll be glad you did!
Have to amuse myself while waiting for the rest of the family to wake up. Therefore ... this.
This tea was described as “blue” so of course I had to try it. Not bad! More purple than blue but still pretty interesting hue.
